Durbin Creek Elementary loves volunteers! While there is no obligation attached to your registration, we certainly hope you will choose to make yourself available to the school in some capacity.
Every hour counts!
The school hosts many fun activities during the school year and would love to have you be a part of it!
Without your help and dedication these events would not be possible.
You must be an approved volunteer within the St. Johns County system to come into our school.
This includes any of the following:
Parent Teacher Conference
Lunch with your child
Walking your child to class
Helping teachers with a class celebration
Volunteering in the classroom
Meeting with teachers
Book Fair, Holiday Shoppe, Proctoring, etc.

PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE BETWEEN 2 TO 8 WEEKS SOMETIMES FOR A VOLUNTEER TO BE APPROVED IN THE SYSTEM, SO PLAN AHEAD!
WHY DO I NEED TO SUBMIT TO THIS FORM?
The county requires that you submit your name for an official background check conducted by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and the National Sexual Offenders Database.
WHO SHOULD SUBMIT A BACKGROUND CHECK?
Anyone wanting to come to the school grounds. This includes parents, grandparents, & community members. Don't forget about relatives who may be out of town but will come to visit and want to have lunch with your child. Go ahead and have them fill out the form now.
Your background check is good for 3 years.
